Just a quick note for any Oak Park, Illinois peeps — if you are free tonight, I can't imagine why you wouldn't go see Mary Beth Klatt talk about vintage wedding dresses at the Historical Society of Oak Park and River Forest. Details here.
I'd be there but I'm out of town.
This dress is from Isadoras.com and is, sadly, already sold. They have a couple more, though, if orange blossoms are in your future.
When I got married in 1981, I asked about orange blossoms. They are (of course) no longer available from standard florists’ sources.I have since realized that most “orange-blossom wreaths” were made of wax.

When I got married, in 1993, I too asked about orange blossoms. I was told that they were really “stephanotis” and so that’s what I got.Of course, when you pick your florist based on the first one you saw after coming out of your obligatory-yet-in-retrospect-pointless Catholic Pre-Cana seminar, you aren’t exactly making your wedding flowers a priority.

Thanks, Erin, for the plug. Sorry to hear you couldn’t make it. I’ll let you know when I do another lecture in the area. I’m working on getting some orange blossoms in my future. LOL.
